John Galbraith Bastedo was born October 8, 1824 at Blenheim Twp.,  Oxford Co., Upper Canada and died May 8, 1900 at Toronto, ON., Canada.  He was the son of  Peter Bastedo  (1794-1834) and Margaret Harnden Galbraith (1801-1882).  On November 20, 1856 in Brantford, Canada West he married Maria Catherine Nellis (1833-?).

 

 

Children:

1  John Nellis Bastedo  (1858-1909) 

    - married to Anna Bell Scarlett, born in 1870

2  Carl Bastedo (1959-?)

2  Charles Augustus Bastedo  (1860-1918)

    - married Lizzie Louise Tovell, (b. abt 1875).

4  Sarah Tisdale Bastedo (1961-?)
