Peter Campbell Bastedo was born December 2, 1833 at Bracebridge, Upper Canada and died October 3, 1920 at Woodstock, ON., Canada.  He was the son of  Peter Bastedo (1794-1834) and Margaret Harnden Galbraith  (1801-1882).  On June 22, 1860 in Woodstock, Canada West he married Jane (Jennie) Lamport Force (1824-1915).

2  John Galbraith Bastedo (1863-1945) 
3  Ella Josephine Bastedo  (d,1865-?) 
4  William Bastedo (1867-1917) 
5  James Henry Bastedo (1875-1947)
