William Edgar Bastedo was born January 25, 1888 at Bracebridge, ON., Canada and died unknown.  He was the son of David Edgar Bastedo (1860-1925) and Elizabeth Ann Oaten (1862-1918).  On November 27, 1918 in Toronto, ON., Canada he married Katherine Elizabeth "Bessie" Reed (April 14, 1892 - Aug 4, 1974).
