John Digby Cooper was born June 1, 1882 at Niagara-On-The-Lake, ON., Canada and died September 15, 1980 at St Catharines, ON., Canada.  He was the son of Albert Timothy Cooper (1860-1947) and Emma Florence Thuresson (1858-1939).  On April 5, 1911 he married Lorena Elizabeth Burch (1888-1963).

An RAF pilot during WW2, was killed while doing pilot instructional training with a student navigator. The plane crashed into a hill in Cumberland in Northern England  on June 16, 1944

after passing through a cloud.
