John Keefer Mahony VC was born June 30, 1911 at New Westminster, British Columbia and died December 15, 1990 at London, Ontario, Canada.  He was the son of  Joseph Jackson Mahony (1875-1959) and Louisa Maude Mary Keefer (1882-?).  He married Bonnie Johnston  (d. 1979).
