William Douglas McMechen was born 1678, at Ayr, Scotland and died 1725 in Ireland.   He was the son of  Thomas MacMickin II  (1649-?) and Marion Eleanor McDual  (1648-?).  in 1703 in Ireland he married Mary (Merri) Douglas (1668, Dublin, Ireland -?).

3  Helen McMechen/McMicken (1709,Ireland - ?)  - married Francis Ian Jackson
