Gilbert James McMicking was born June 23, 1881 at St George's, Roma, Queensland, Australia and died July 11,1964 at South Perth, West Australia, Australia.  He was the son of  Gilbert Torrance MacMicking  (1857-1935) and Emmaline Elizabeth Nicholson (1856-1897).  On August 14, 1920 at Australia he married Muriel Ruby Irene Dowden (1898-1980).
