Robert St Ringan McMicking was born November 2, 1871 at St Kilda, NSW, Australia and died July 28, 1943 at Kingaroy, Australia.  He was the son of Robert McMicking  (1826-1908) and Eleanor Jane Nicholson  (1845-1926).  On December 15, 1903 at Brisbane, Queensland, Australia he married Louisa Frances Nicholson ( b. 24 November 1872, Sydney, New South Wales – d. 31 July 1959)
