Sir John Denman Barlow, MP, 2nd Baronet Barlow was born June 15, 1898 at England and died in 1986.  He was the son of Sir John Emmott Barlow, 1st Baronet Barlow (1857-1932) and Anna Marie Heywood Denman (1873-1965).  On June 27, 1928 he married Hon. Diana Helen Kemp, Lady Barlow (1904-1986), daughter of George Kemp, 1st Baron Rochdale and Lady Beatrice Mary Egerton.

He was a partner of Thomas Barlow and Brothers, of Manchester and London. He gained the title of 2nd Baronet Barlow, of Bradwall Hall, Sandbach, Cheshire [U.K., 1907] on 17 September 1932.  He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Cheshire in 1935. He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Conservative) for Eddisbury between 1945 and 1950. He was director of Barclays Bank in 1950. He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Middleton and Prestwich between 1951 and 1966. He was director of Blantyre Tea Holdings in 1974
