Charles Augustus Bastedo was born in 1860 in Princeton, Canada West and died June 30, 1918 in Brantford, ON., Canada. He is buried at Mt Pleasant Cemetery, Toronto, ON., Canada. He was the son of John Galbraith Bastedo (1824-1900) and Maria Catherine Nellis (1833-?).  On July 16, 1902 in Hamilton, ON., Canada he married Lizzie Louise Tovell, (b. abt 1875).
