Ethel May Boys (nee McMicking) was born June 9, 1873 at Yale, Fraser Valley, British Columbia, Canada and died September  3, 1919 in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.  She was the daughter of Robert Burns McMicking (1843-1915) and Margaret Brown Leighton (1849-1944).  On August 19, 1915 in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada she married (Lieut) James Herbert "Jack" Boys  (June 5,1888, Golspie, Sutherland, Highland, Scotland-May 10, 1918, Boulogne, France)  

 

No children

 

Apparently distraught over the death of her husband overseas during the Great War, Ethel took her own life.

"Suicide by drowning" was the official cause of death
