Hiram Cooper was born July 12, 1853 at Stamford, Welland Co., Canada West and died January 8, 1953 at Frankford, ON., Canada.  He was the son of John Edward Cooper (1834-1872) and Melissa Angeline Maybee (1841-1880).  On January 3, 1882 at Stirling, ON., Canada he married first Almina Elizabeth Goodfree (1856-1919).  On September 20, 1920 at Marmora, Hastings Co., Canada he married second Dora Acton (1895-?).  On February 16, 1921 at Niagara Falls, New York, USA he married third Cynthia Eliza Hardy (nee Goodfree) (1869-?)
