Hon Thomas Denman, 3rd Baron Denman was born November 16, 1874 at London, England and died June 24, 1954 at Hove, Sussex, England. He was the son of Richard Denman (1842-1883)and Helen Mary McMicking (1852-1919). On November 26, 1904 at England he married Gertrude Mary Pearson (Baroness Denman GBE) (1884-1954).
He succeeded to the title of 3rd Baron Denman of Dovedale, co. Derby [U.K., 1834] on 9 August 1894
He gained the rank of Major in the service of the Middlesex Hussars Imperial Yeomanry
He fought in the Boer War between 1900 and 1901, where he was wounded
He held the office of Lord-in-Waiting between 1905 and 1907
He was invested as a Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1907
He held the office of Captain of the Gentlemen-at-Arms between 1907 and 1911
He held the office of Deputy Speaker, House of Lords in 1909
He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Sussex
He held the office of Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief of Australia between 1911 and 1914
He fought in the First World War
He was Lieutenant-Colonel of the 2nd Battalion, Middlesex Yeomanry
