Hugh Forbes Keefer was born October 4, 1847 at Stamford, Welland Co., Canada West and died December 23, 1917 at Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.  He was the son of John Keefer (1813-1892) and Sarah Catherine

McMicking  (1814-1882).  On March 2, 1871 at Thorold, ON, Canada he married Rebecca Ann "Pearl" Tisdale  (1853 -?).  - divorced May 6, 1890 at Vancouver, BC, Canada
