Peter McKerlie was born 1803 at Stamford, Lincoln Co., Upper Canada and died December 2, 1877 at Cass County Iowa, USA.  He was the son of John McKerlie  (1774-?) and Jane "Jenny" McMicking  (1777-?).  In 1827 at Grimsby, Wentworth Co., Upper Canada he married Bathsheba Teneyck (1805-1875).

 

Peter moved his family, including his wife and four children to Iowa in the USA in January 1852.  His daughter Mary Agnes returned to Canada around 1875 where she married and remained until her death in 1931 near Hamilton, ON.....D N Franklin

   - She married Lewis Masecar 1844-1909
