Cameron Germain McMicking was born July 5, 1906 at Malvern, Victoria, Australia and died March 9, 1982 at Darling Downs, Australia.  He was the son of Germain Nicholson McMicking (1870-1921) and Amy Sarah Cameron  (1870-1951).  On July 28, 1939 at Dirranbandi, Australia he married Helen Crathie Rankin (1914-1985).  They divorced in 1960.

"Brisbane interest was attached to the wedding of Miss Helen Crathie Rankin and Mr. Cameron Germain McMicking. which was solemnized at the Presbyterian Church, Dirranbandi, last week. The bridegroom is the second son of Mrs. A. S. McMicking, Southport, and the late Mr. Germain McMicking, and the bride is the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mis. Robert Rankin".
