Gilbert Thomas Gore McMicking was born August 2, 1894 at Stanton Lacy, Wiltshire, England and died November 11, 1918 at Orthan, The Netherlands.  He was the son of Maj Gilbert McMicking  (1862-1942) and Gertrude Rosabel Katherine Gore (1871-1920).  He did not marry.

 

He gained the rank of officer in the service of the Cambridgeshire Regiment.  Between 1914 and 1918 held a prisoner in The Netherlands during the First World War after being transferred via prisoner exchange from Germany in 1917.  He died in The Netherlands from influenza. He is buried at Orthen Protestant Cemetery.
