John McMicking (aka John McMicken) was born 1745 at Glenluce, Scotland and died 1814 at Kirkcudbrightshire, Scotland.  He was the son of William McMicking (1727-1818) and Eleanor (Helen) Montague (1723 - ?).  He married Margaret McMichael (1757-?).
