John McMicking was born 1774 at Schenectady, New York and died 1860 at Stamford Township, Welland County, Canada West. He was the son of  Peter McMicking (1731-1823) and Agness Robertson (1745-1827.  In 1814 in Stamford he married Susan Thomson (1787-1821) *.

 

* Susan McMicking died giving birth to daughter Mary, who also died only surviving for a couple months.  Both Susan and Mary are buried at the Stamford Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Niagara Falls, Canada.  View Gravesite Marker.
