Peter McMicking, UEL was born February 21, 1731 at Colmonell, Wigtonshire, Scotland and died April 13, 1823 at Stamford Township, Lincoln County, Upper Canada.  He was the son of Thomas McMicking (III)  (1710-1756) and Jeanet McMieken (1698-1733).  In 1768 in New Luce, Wigtonshire, Scotland he married Agness Robertson  (1745-1827).
