Thomas MCMICKING III was born May 13, 1710 in Colmonell, Ayreshire, Scotland and died May 11, 1756 in New Luce, Wigtonshire, Scotland.  He was the son of Thomas MacMickin and Elisabeth McHarg. He married (1st) Jennet McMieken. She was born 1698 in Scotland and died 1733 in Scotland. He married (2nd) Janet Mulwain, daughter of Alexander John Mulwean and Janet Campbell. She was born Oct 29, 1713 in Dumfriesshire, Scotland and died Nov 22, 1784 in Township #2, Lincoln County, Quebec Province, Canada Colonies*.

 

* Township #2 later became Stamford Twp.  Stamford was located in Welland County after Lincoln County was divided in two in 1791.  Also in 1791, Quebec Province was divided into Lower Canada (Quebec) and Upper Canada (Ontario).  Welland County was located in Upper Canada.
