Thomas McMicking IV was born March 31, 1750 in New Luce, Wigtonshire, Scotland and died February 19, 1830 in Stamford, Lincoln Co., Upper Canada. He is buried in Stamford Presbyterian Cemetery, Stamford, Upper Canada. He was the son of Thomas McMicking III and Janet Mulwain.  On March 29, 1787 in Scotland, he married Isabel Gass, daughter of William Gass and Eleanor (Helen) Gass. She was born September 4, 1767 in Annan, Dumfriesshire, Scotland and died November 2, 1830 in Stamford, Lincoln Co., Upper Canada.
