Thomas Walter McMicking (aka Thomas McMicking V) was born August 13, 1794 at Stamford Township, Lincoln County, Upper Canada and died September 29, 1857 at Chinguacousy Township, Peel County, Canada West.  He was the son of Thomas McMicking IV  (1749-1830) and Isabella Gass  (1767-1830).  In 1822 at Queenston, Lincoln Co., Upper Canada he married Margaret Catherine Lewis (1806 -?).
