Thomas MacMickin was born 1689 in Stoneykirk, Scotland and died Sept 28, 1782 in New Luce, Wigtonshire, Scotland. He was the son of Gilbert MacMickin and Janet MacIllwain (nee Auld). He married Elisabeth McHarg 1709 in New Luce Parish, Wigtonshire, Scotland, daughter of B Maharg (Graham) and Jennet S Campbell. She was born 1692 in Lanarkshire, Scotland and died Sept 29, 1781 in New Luce, Wigtonshire, Scotland

NOTE:

Thomas MacMickin is the common bloodline link for most McMickings alive today.  Through two of his sons the divergence of the family spread globally.  The descendants of Gilbert (1723-1800) occupied England & Scotland and Australia (South Seas).  The descendants of Thomas (1710-1756) settled in the Americas (USA & Canada).
