John Henderson Mitchell was born Descember 24, 1877 in Stamford (Niagara Falls) at Stamford, Ontario, Canada and died January 6, 1955, St Catharines, Ontario, Canada.  He was the son of Hugh Mitchell (1844-1926) and Sarah Augusta McMicking  (1846-1926).  On August 29, 1909 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada he married Mabel Margaret Lee (1881-1951).
