John Hugh Mitchell was born February 5, 1917 at Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada and died April 8, 2005 at Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.  He was the son of John Henderson Mitchell (1877-1955) and Mabel Margaret Lee (1881-1951).  On October 9, 1943 he married Mary Belle Davey (1918-2011).
