Austin Robert Montagu was born May 26, 1885 at Port Stewart, England and died August 15, 1958.  He was the son of Robert Acheson Cromie Montagu (1854-1931) and Annie Margaret McMicking  (1860-1916).  On November 15, 1934 he married Violet Vera Sandles  (d.1982), daughter of Charles William Sandles
