Jannet Thompson (nee Cooper) was born July 9, 1797 at Stamford, Lincoln Co., Upper Canada and died September 29, 1832 at Newark, Lincoln Co., Upper Canada.  She is the daughter of James Cooper (1770-1856) and Elizabeth Hixon  (1773-1885).  She married Col. James Thompson (1786-1850).

5  Elizabeth Thompson (1826-1865)

    b. February 3, 1826; d. July 25, 1865

6  Thomas Thompson (1828-1882)

    b. January 23, 1828, Stamford, Upper Canada; d. September 4, 1882, Stamford, ON., Canada

7  Archibald Thompson (1830-1909)*  

    b. January 6, 1830; d. April 23, 1909 - married Amelia 1837-1927

8  Richard Thompson (1832-1862)

    b. June 23, 1832, Stamford, Upper Canada; d. March 13, 1862, Windsor, Canada West

 

*Archibald Thompson was one of the Overlanders of '62, lead by Thomas McMicking of Queenston.  He worked for a couple years in Victoria, BC.  After spending time in California and Michigan he returned to Stamford where he died.
