Gilbert Thomas McMicken was born 1780 at New Luce, Wigtonshire, Scotland and died 1822 at New Luce, Scotland.  He was the son of  James Andrew McMicken (1741-1786) and Helen McDougall (1744 -?).  In 1799 in Liverpool, England he married Jeanette Carochan (1779 at Wigtonshire, Scotland -?).

 

* Gilbert took Jeanette who was "with child" to Liverpool and married her there.  They stayed in Liverpool until about 1805 when they returned to New Luce .....D McEwan Jr.

 

 

Children:

1  John McMicken,  b.1799   - married Jane McDowall (1795-?)

2  Gilbert McMicken, b. 1813
