Thomas McMicking, Esq., JP was born December 5, 1812 in St Ninians, Scotland and died July 11, 1884 in Burnbrae, Helenburgh, Scotland. He was the son of Thomas McMicking of Miltonise and Jane Morin. He married first Agnes Andrew on May 18, 1847 in Barony, Lanark, Scotland, She was born on April 8, 1813. He married second Mary Fleming on  Oct 1, 1868 in Scotland, daughter of John Fleming and Jane Fordyce Nichol. She was born January 7, 1824.

 

Thomas was heir to the Miltonise Estate.  When his only son, Thomas Agnew, died, Thomas sold the estate to his brother Gilbert (Gilbert McMicking of Miltonise).
